Bio of Charlotte Nelson
Charlotte Nelson is a native of Jackson, Mississippi. She attended and graduated from Jackson State University, Jackson, Miss. (1970) where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech and Dramatic Arts, Master of Arts Degree in Reading Education (1977), and Administration and Supervision (1979). Additionally, she holds certification in Special Education and English. MS. Nelson served in numerous capacities with the Job Corps program and served as the Center Director of the Shreveport Job Corps Center from 1989–99. She is currently employed with the Caddo Parish School System as a teacher at Northwood High School.
Ms. Nelson has been a member of New Dimensions Choral Society for the past 25 years. She has been instrumental in providing many services to the organization including grant writing, clerical support, and other administrative duties.
